Sobrevida

El estudio de la sobrevida del cáncer (probabilidad de sobrevir un determinado número de meses) es la forma más robusta de estudiar las terapias y factores pronósticos en cáncer. De modo general, representa el resultado de todo el proceso de atención al que es sometido el paciente a lo largo de su vida.
Esta forma de análisis y representación gráfica permite comparar en forma consistente las experiencias obtenidos en otros tiempos o lugares. Cada curva corresponde a un grupo de pacientes que comparten un factor en común (como el sexo, la etapa TNM, el tamaño tumoral, etc). En la medida que pasa el tiempo cada fallecimiento ( evento = muerte) se representa por la caída escalonada de la curva. Ubique el puntero del mouse sobre la barra del evento para obtener detalles.
